We are putting out our best duck call to attract a buyer for our Sterling Silver Mallard Duck made by famed silversmiths S. Kirk and Son whose name is synonymous with classic American Silversmithing. This mallard measures 1 inch in height, 1.5 inches in length and about 1 inch at the widest section. Made of solid sterling silver and weighing 2.83 troy ounces. The duck is in it's typical position. Much attention to detail was made on the throat, wings, the tail and speculum. On the underside of its belly with " S.KIRK & SON", the number 3 in a circle and "STERLING" stamped, a combination that, as I understand it, dates this piece in the company's post-1940 production yet before 1979. Overall has a nice warm patina. A collectors dream or an admirers prize....don't let this cute little ducky answer someone else's call.

We are offering, up for sale, this whimsical miniature donkey made by famed silversmiths S. Kirk and Son whose name is synonymous with classic American Silversmithing. This miniature donkey measures 1 10/16" in height, 2 1/2" in length and about 3/4" at the widest section. Made of solid sterling silver and weighing 3.20 troy ounces. The animal is portrayed in a position, about to kick, with one of its hind legs off the ground and its head turned to one side. Much attention to detail was made on the mane, the tail and the eyes. With the rest of the body implying muscle tension and movement. On the underside of its belly with " KIRK & SON" and "STERLING" stamped, a combination that, as I understand it, dates this piece in the company's post-1940 production yet before 1979. Overall has a nice warm patina and despite the weight stands evenly and securely. A collectors dream or an admirers prize....don't let this little donkey go out to pasture.
